A short introduction to new Bristol New wave pop-rockers Moon Club, featuring the tracks Goodbye to Goodnight, Save The Liar and Cut You Down

We’ve never interviewed a band on a Saturday morning before. Which just goes to show how keen we’ve recently been to have a chat with new-wave quintet Moon Club.

The band have been causing quite a stir on the Bristol circuit following their debut EP launch back in March and we’ve been pestering them for five minutes of their time ever since.

Meetings have been cancelled and phone interviews have been rearranged but for you, dear listener, we’ve soldiered on undeterred to finally get hold of the prized audio above.

Hit play and transport yourself to a converted attic deep on the heart of St Werburghs. It is a Sunny Saturday Bristol morning. The Bristol Beats Club sit poised on one side of the room; one half of Moon Club sit bemused on the other. Both parties have in their hands not beers but mugs of herbal tea and birds can be heard chirping in the background.

The Bristol Beats Club close the window. They press record in the converted home studio. They turn to Moon Club and ask them to explain themselves.

The above podcast is the minutes that ensue.

Listen with caution,

Bristol Beats Xx
