What a month it’s been here at the (alternative) BBC HQ.
We’ve been on holiday, watched Iggy Pop gyrate inappropriately at 16 year old girls, and even coined the new phrase ‘BBC HQ’!
Most of all, though, we’ve been hard at work getting another delectable podcast together for all you lovely people. And low and behold… it is almost here!
That’s correct, in just two short days (that’s Friday, 19th July for all you part-time listeners who choose not to read our articles immediately but instead enjoy them “when you’ve got a second”), we’ll be uploading July’s podcast… and what a corker it is.
We’ve got brand spanking new music from three of Bristol’s finest up & comers, Velcro Hooks, Oliver Wilde and Evil Twin; we’ve got some highly self-deprecating humourous anecdotes; a story about a Bristolian old-boy who had a UFO land on his roof and, of course, the latest antics from our beloved mayor George Ferguson.
Elsewhere you’ll find out how you can watch the aforementioned Oliver Wilde FOR FREE this coming Saturday (that’s all of you, by the way… you won’t need to enter a competition or anything. In fact, I’m not even sure we know how to run a competition) and you’ll learn how you your very self can feature on August’s edition of the Bristol Beats Club podcast.
