It’s a new episode of the Bristol Beats Club comedy podcast. Listen now!

Prince Andrew’s been in a lot of trouble lately, hasn’t he? And when we say lately, we of course mean a few weeks back. (We’re not the type of journalists to report on a story as it unfolds. After all, that would be particularly difficult to keep up with. Plus, in this instance, we’d have either been sued or molested. OK, sued. And that’s why we prefer to wait a few weeks before saying anything. But we digress…)

Of course, in the end, the claims were thrown out… but the Andrew thing got us thinking… dating’s tough, isn’t it?

The topic became the theme of this week’s comedy podcast, in which we discuss pretending to be someone you’re not, showing up on dates blind drunk and 100% refrain from using the word ‘molesting’. If you’ve ever had a date go wrong, you’ll enjoy this week’s show.

Have a listen now and you’ll also be introduced to up and coming comedian George Erlanger, who joined us for a chat and a game of Desert Island Dicks.

George revealed what it was like to face 8 minutes of silence, the best way to prepare for a stand up gig and why he prefers Kim Jong Un to Colonel Gaddafi. Plus, he talked a lot about dicks… which is always a bonus.

As always, our idle chit-chat is as usual interspersed with cutting edge and classic indie, electro and indietronica. As the show is now downloadable via iTunes we’ve removed the tracks in their entirety, but featured this week were:

  • The Naked & Famous – Hearts Like Ours
  • Lonely The Brave – Deserter
  • Jungle – Julia
  • Swiss Lips – Books
  • Circa Waves – Celestica
  • OK Go – The Writing’s on the Wall
  • The Wombats – Give Me a Try

Have a listen now, we love having every single one of you on board. Oh, and before you go, we’re not live on Wednesday the 20th but we will have a shiny new podcast for you on Saturday the 23rd. To make sure you get it, subscribe to the podcast on iTunes.
