It’s a new episode of the Bristol Beats Club comedy podcast. Listen now!

Recently, when we were visiting a close friend over in Essex, we made the once unthinkable decision to drink locally brewed, premium priced real ales over mass produced, cheap lager imported from Western Europe. And that got us thinking… we’re getting old, aren’t we?

The topic became the theme of this week’s comedy podcast, in which we discuss reviewing sheds, escalating hangovers and whether or not going grey is preferable to going bald. If you’ve ever caught yourself making a strangely adult decision in the past, then you’ll enjoy this week’s show.

Have a listen now and you’ll also be treated to How to Confuse a Complexity Scientist, in which a simple question and answer session is tweaked to ensure comical outcomes, and new feature Desert Island Dicks (which is in no way copyright infringement on any other currently broadcasting programmes, no matter how similarly they may or may not be named).

Of course, our idle chit-chat is as usual interspersed with cutting edge and classic indie, electro and indietronica. As the show is now downloadable via iTunes we’ve removed the tracks in their entirety, but featured this week were:

  • Cash + David – Bones
  • The Libertines – Up the Bracket
  • Coasts – Rush of Blood
  • Dry the River – Hidden Hand
  • Crystal Castles – Celestica
  • Fickle Friends – Swim
  • George Ezra – Budapest
  • Circa Waves – Fossils
  • Pale Hands – Fanatic
  • alt-j – Left Hand Free
  • Vallis Alps – Young

Have a listen now, we love having every single one of you on board. Oh, and before we go – we’ll be talking about job interviews next week, so send us your related anecdotes and get yourself featured on the show! Email your job interview tales through to info@bristolbeatsclub.com. Then for God’s sake, subscribe to the podcast on iTunes.
